Many foods have been known to make people get a little bit randy with one another, and the latest trend is baking cakes that are purportedly chock-full of aphrodisiac qualities. Whether it's chocolate cake or banana cake, some people are finding the answer to their sex struggles in cooking groups.editor Rebecca Jane Stokes has decided to combine baking and sex advice to create a cake that will get you in the mood. There’s a crazy story to what happened. Here’s what happened, straight from
YourTango.
Rebecca Jane Stokes did some research to find out what a real aphrodisiac cake would have. You’d think it’d have chocolate, right? Well, not quite. According to her, what her research led her to believe is that a banana cake would be a better bet, thanks to the nutrients found in the phallic fruit.
Bananas are known for Vitamin B and potassium - both of which are known for boosting energy. But, that’s not all they have in them. They also have an enzyme called bromelain, which causes humans to produce massive quantities of testosterone. Testosterone makes people horny. Ergo, bananas it was.

She chose a recipe from TheKitchn.com. The reason why was because it had tons of buttercream in it - and buttercream is absolutely delicious. “If wound up making it, eating it, and not wanting to go have sex immediately I would at least have lots of cake to console me,” she wrote. It’s a safe way to have a win-win bet.

The cake took hours to prepare, and was prefaced with a nice glass of white wine. Why? Because that’s an awesome way to create a romantic atmosphere in a kitchen. She also added cinnamon, another known aphrodisiac, to the mix. Lastly, she added a pinch of cardamom, which is known for increasing blood flow and stimulating sexual activity.
Lastly, she decided to add in some almonds. In ancient times, the scent of almonds was known to be a sexual attractant. So, why not? She added them into the cake mix as well. And then, Rebecca was done mixing stuff in. In fact, she was pretty done cooking.

All the hustle had made her a bit tired. Though she just wanted a back rub and a shower, she ended up just passing out for the night. The cake kept until morning, and that’s exactly what she had for breakfast. “It was delicious!” said Rebecca. We can’t blame her for saying that - it sounds absolutely mouthwatering.

After one slice, she didn’t notice much happening. Well, at least, she didn’t notice an immediate reaction to the cake. It wasn’t like she was immediately on like a lightbulb. So, she decided to nibble on some more cake. And, then she had some more cake with coffee.
That night, she had a date with her boyfriend. And that’s when the cake hit her. While she isn’t sure whether the cake was psychosomatic or not, she could say that she felt “horny as heck.” And she was ready to “enjoy in hot sex” with her boyfriend.

Sadly, there’s a drawback to the cake idea. If you’ve ever tried to engage in sex with someone while you have a full stomach, you may have realized that sex doesn’t always work with an overfilled stomach. She said, “But, as I discovered in the midst of my love-making session, a burning desire to have sex doesn't necessarily jive with a belly full of cake.”

Rebecca blames herself. She said that it was a major error on her judgment. As she put it, “One piece would have been fine, but I let my lust for both sex and pastry get in the way and now found myself unable to orgasm with ease because I had a belly replete with cake.” To put it simply, moderation is key - especially with sexy cake.
Here’s her final verdict. Rebecca definitely says that the cake did its job. However, there’s a couple of caveats. You could probably get the same kind of effect from eating a banana and enjoying some hot, sexy, steamy foreplay. At the very least, though, it sounds like a great cake.

Aphrodisiac cakes are as old as time itself. There have always been recipes and cakes that were said to improve a person’s libido. In fact, Ancient Greeks had their own foods that were dedicated to Aphrodite and other gods involved in the bedroom. Everyone has a food that gets them in the mood.

And, there are still plenty of people who swear by them. Chocolate cakes, strawberry cakes, and banana cakes have all been suggested to be great choices to put a certain person in the mood. However, there’s very little evidence that it can work as well as people say they do. Cakes aren’t Viagra.
If you want to get into a romp, there’s nothing wrong with trying out an aphrodisiac cake recipe. You can add everything from chocolate to cinnamon to green M&M’s if that’s what it will take. But, if you ask most people, a bottle of wine and some good foreplay is what will work best for most people.
Let them eat cake! Have you ever scanned the net for a good aphrodisiac cake recipe? Did you try it - and if so, how did it work out? Tell us your story in the comments below!
